One of Only 497 M-Series Dinos ever built; well maintained and striking in red, this 246 GT Ferrari Dino embodies all that is Ferrari!
Created as a tribute to the late Alfredo ‘Dino’ Ferrari, the first model did not wear a Ferrari badge at all – being sold merely as the Dino.
But of course, everyone called them Ferrari Dinos, no matter what Enzo preferred.
Regardless of the name, the Dino established a number of firsts for Ferrari. It was the company’s first road-going V6, and its first mid-mounted sports car.
The Dino was a huge success, taking the fight to the Porsche 911, and set Ferrari on course to offer a number of junior models, a strategy which remains in place to this day.
This particular 1972 model runs and drives very strong and remains in excellent mechanical condition.
The red finish, presents well and the original Dino seats remain in good condition. This 246 GT Ferrari Dino also features a 195 bhp, 2,418 cc DOHC V-6 engine, five speed manual transmission, coil springs, four wheel independent suspension with A-arms, European specification variant with 195 brake horsepower; four wheel ventilated disc brakes and telescopic shock absorbers.
In the end, the Dino is about beauty. There’s a poignant appeal that makes you want to own one.
